California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have certain rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). This page explains your rights and how to exercise them.
Your California Privacy Rights
As a California resident, you have the following rights:
1. Right to Know
You have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell about you. You can request:
- The categories of personal information we have collected about you
- The categories of sources from which we collected your personal information
- The business or commercial purpose for collecting or selling your personal information
- The categories of third parties with whom we share your personal information
- The specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you
2. Right to Delete
You have the right to request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions. We may deny your deletion request if retaining the information is necessary for us or our service providers to:
- Complete the transaction for which we collected the personal information
- Provide a good or service that you requested
- Perform a contract we entered into with you
- Detect security incidents, protect against malicious activity, or prosecute those responsible
- Debug products to identify and repair errors
- Exercise free speech or another right provided by law
- Comply with legal obligations
- Make other internal and lawful uses of that information that are compatible with the context in which you provided it
3. Right to Correct
You have the right to request that we correct inaccurate personal information that we maintain about you.
4. Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We also do not "share" your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes as defined under CPRA.
However, if we were to engage in such activities in the future, you would have the right to opt-out. You can exercise this right at any time by contacting us at support@lifeecho.org.
5. Right to Non-Discrimination
We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. This means we will not:
- Deny you goods or services
- Charge you different prices or rates
- Provide you a different level or quality of goods or services
- Suggest that you may receive a different price or rate or a different level or quality of goods or services
6. Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information
You have the right to limit our use and disclosure of your sensitive personal information to only what is necessary to perform the services or provide the goods reasonably expected by an average consumer, or for other specified purposes under CPRA.

- Your full name
- Your email address associated with your DailyInk account
- A clear description of which right(s) you wish to exercise
- Any additional information that may help us verify your identity
Verification Process
For your protection, we may need to verify your identity before processing your request. We may ask you to:
- Confirm information associated with your account
- Provide additional documentation to verify your identity
We will respond to your request within 45 days, or we will inform you if we need additional time (up to 90 days total).
Authorized Agents
You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. The authorized agent must provide proof that you have given them permission to act on your behalf. We may still require you to verify your identity directly with us.
Personal Information We Collect
In the past 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information:
- Identifiers: Name, email address, IP address, account identifiers
- Personal Information: Name, email address, phone number (if provided)
- Internet Activity: Browsing history, search history, interaction with our website
- Geolocation Data: General location based on IP address
- User-Generated Content: Journal entries and other content you create
